Flying works by utilizing the principles of aerodynamics. When an aircraft moves forward, the shape of its wings creates a pressure difference between the upper and lower surfaces of the wings. This pressure difference generates lift, which allows the aircraft to overcome gravity and stay airborne. Additionally, the engines provide thrust to propel the aircraft forward, and the control surfaces such as ailerons, elevators, and rudders help to maneuver the aircraft in the air. Overall, flying involves a combination of lift, thrust, and control to keep the aircraft in the air and navigate through the sky. **

Flying is generally considered to be a safe mode of transportation. Commercial airlines adhere to strict safety regulations and undergo regular maintenance checks to ensure the safety of their aircraft. Additionally, pilots and crew members undergo extensive training and follow strict safety protocols. While accidents do occur, the overall safety record of commercial aviation is very high, making flying one of the safest ways to travel. **
